Serve Day Success

We wanted to take a moment to celebrate the commitment to our community through Serve Day which has been happening annually for decades. This year we gathered on Saturday, April 13th, and rallied over 60 volunteers to clean up our beloved community! Kicking off the morning at Snack Shack, volunteers received assignments and equipment to spruce up the neighborhood. We lent a helping hand to residents by tidying up their yards and collecting trash, furniture, tires, and other large items. Our collaborative effort included several community member, members from Argentine Betterment Corporation, Youthfront, Snack Shack, Southwest Argentine Neighborhood (SWAN), Dragonfly MSP, Villa Argentina Neighborhood Association (VANA), Immanuel Community Outreach, Endless Outdoors, Olsson Engineering, Metro Fitness, the Mayor's office, and even a few judges. We are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment to serving our community.

The highlight of the day was the installation of a new little library at 42nd St and Metropolitan by Olsson Engineering, adding to our community's resources. For lunch, we enjoyed delicious tacos, burritos, and quesadillas from Taqueria La Mano. Serve Day was a true testament to the power of community and collaboration, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to make our neighborhood a cleaner, more vibrant place to live. Thank you to all who participated and supported Serve Day!
