The Argentine Betterment Corporation is proud to welcome Rosa Madrigal to our Board of Directors.

Rosa is, in every sense, a product of Argentine. She grew up here, was educated here, and has spent the majority of her life deeply rooted in this community. A graduate of USD 500 schools — Emerson Elementary, Argentine Junior/Senior High, and J.C. Harmon High School, class of 1975 — Rosa went on to earn her degree in Nursing from Donnelly College and Pittsburg State University.

She dedicated her entire nursing career to Wyandotte County, spending twenty years in Labor and Delivery at Bethany Medical Center and more than twenty-four years with the high-risk Obstetrical team at the University of Kansas. Over the course of her career, Rosa was there for some of the most important and vulnerable moments in families' lives — a reflection of the care and commitment she brings to everything she does.

Rosa's service has never been limited to her profession. For years she served as a PTA officer at New Stanley Elementary and as a Girl Scout Leader, investing in the next generation of young people in our community. She is also a dedicated volunteer for Silver City Day, helping organize the parade and the beloved Little Miss and Mr. Silver City contest in the past. Her extraordinary commitment to volunteerism was recognized with the YWCA Hearts of Gold award.

Now retired, Rosa is channeling that same lifetime of dedication into her newest role as an ABC Board member. She brings with her deep community roots, a servant's heart, and an unmatched understanding of what it means to show up for Argentine — year after year, generation after generation.

We are honored to have her.
